Your ally in legal

Spophic Legal

We do things a little differently

Sophic provides a more human approach to law, born out of listening to its clients. Out with the mahogany and leather, in with a leaner, more agile way of doing things.

We take the time to fully understand our clients’ businesses and needs so that we can deliver relevant, customised legal support for their strategy, transactions, operational issues and disputes. Our approach is based on working together with our clients, and focussing on what is most important to help their businesses move forward.

Our practical, no-fuss model gives our clients easier and more flexible access to our skilled team. And our lean approach and low overheads mean we can deliver the expertise you need, without the big firm price tag.

Finally, a fresh approach to legal.

  • Dispute resolution
  • And much more

Expertise you can rely on

Sophic Legal was founded by Tara Taylor, who has over 20 years' experience working in commercial law

Tara’s early career was spent at top commercial law firm, Corrs Chambers Westgarth, as a lawyer and senior associate. Following that, she moved in-house with Westpac as part of their institutional banking team. During her time at Corrs and at Westpac, Tara worked on commercial and cross border transactions, providing legal, structuring and tax advice.

Seeking a fresh challenge, she launched Sophic Legal. Tara has a Master of Laws from the University of Sydney, and has been admitted to practice law in both NSW and New York State.
